The SIAM Bangkok一直被視為是曼谷的傳奇酒店之一，它的傳奇不僅是價格，同時一間非屬於大集團的連鎖酒店、卻能成功營造出Resort的奢華感，其背後的靈魂人物-總經理Jason功不可沒。

General Manager – The Siam，他雖然身為一間酒店的總經理，社交手腕卻可以從其好人緣一窺一二。「創辦人想做的是世上獨一無二的酒店，我的功能就是將各方面組織起來。」說起話來很有自信的Jason，一手打造出來的The SIAM確實值得驕傲。

第一它雖然坐落於曼谷、卻屬於曼谷近郊，位置不在鬧區，所以可以給人遺世獨立之感；第二是The SIAM緊靠昭披耶河畔，除了乘車外，船遊也是最大的樂趣之一，讓人隨時享受湄南河悠閒的風情。

不過最厲害地是The SIAM氣氛地營造，由於隸屬於Sukosol Group，該家族以收藏骨董聞名，酒店內找來Bill Bensley(世界前一百大的是設計與建築師)，他充分利用了古董文物與現代建築技法，將其融合，被充分授權、完全不講究坪效的他們，營造出既摩登、又復古；既大氣、又細緻的氛圍。

「我們想要帶給顧客，最重要的便是休閒的感覺，不僅止於觀光客，連本地客都極為喜愛此地，因為這裡距離曼谷雖只有20-30分鐘的車程，卻能完全避開市區的繁忙，給人遠離塵囂之感。」

Jason覺得最重要的是如何”打造出悠閒又高雅”的氛圍，所以的建築都以此主題圍繞，包括門口的枝垂柳樹、進入主建築的落葉喬木，再加上VILLA、SPA、游泳池等設施，成功地營造出猶如世外桃源的感覺。

「我們的食材都用到最好，不管是泰式餐廳、下午茶甚至是早餐，但是我們不是FINE DINING，我們希望客人即便來此用餐，都能感受到輕鬆無負擔的自在感。」Jason表示，再加上私人管家的服務，希望來到這裡能讓人完全忘掉繁重的工作、啂人的事。

永遠有新創意在Jason腦海裡打轉，The SIAM除了已有的泰拳教室、電影院、圖書館…等設施

他最近新設了一間”刺青室”，「很多人喜愛到泰國刺青，但坊間的小店往往讓他們感覺不安全，在有客人建議之下，我就想我們自己來做吧！」於是聘請了最好的刺青老師、做好最完全的消毒措施，讓Tatoo在此也能成為時尚的樂趣！

General Manager and consummate luxury hotelier Jason has honed his talent at some of the world’s most unique boutique properties and luxurious five-star establishments including Raffles (Singapore), Hotel Le Royal (Cambodia), Amandari (Bali), Four Seasons (Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai) and Qualia (Australia). He holds a Cornell Master of Management in Hospitality (MMH), as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biology (specialising in Forest and Marine Ecology/Eco-Tourism Development) from Lewis and Clark College, USA. He has called Asia home since 1994 and is a PADI certified scuba instructor with over 2,500 certified dives!

The overall setting reflects the period of Bangkok’s greatest grandeur, under King Rama V (circa 1853-1910), with Art Deco accents.

Design

The Siam was conceived by creative director and celebrity Krissada Sukosol Clapp, together with globally acclaimed architect and interior/landscape designer Bill Bensley, one of Architectural Digest’s ‘Top 100 Designers and Most Creative People’.

Of The Siam, Bill says: “My studio team has designed some 150 plus hotels and resorts worldwide and we have received many accolades. But I am most excited about The Siam, as I know it is going to turn heads on the competitive hospitality market of tomorrow.”
