彷彿來到豪宅般的夢幻場景，陽光透著玻璃天窗灑進廳堂、鮮豔綠意，搭配白色藤編桌椅，純淨白色的空間佐著古典雕花與歐式圓拱，配上悠揚地演奏，宛如置身仙境，這是舉世聞名的Author’s Lounge。曼谷文華東方酒店為慶祝其140周年，擴建翻修位於該處的皇家套房和花園翼12間陽臺套房，使其更為寬敞舒適。(內含HD影音介紹)

總面積達600平方米的皇家套房是全曼谷最為奢華的總統套房。套房內設有六間臥室，佔據了著名作家空間(Authors’ Lounge)的首層，前身正正是建於1876年的東方酒店的作家翼空間，如今將其打通為皇家套房。

套房配備私人電梯，其中皇家套房主臥室面積為315平方米，相鄰的雙臥室大使套房則為165平方米。此外，更設有三間獨立豪華客房供親屬及保安人員入住。

裝飾以皇家顏色如黃色以及紫色為主，包括寬敞得體的主休息室、格調高雅的第二客廳、典雅清淨的書房與圖書館。

曼谷文華東方酒店自19世紀開始，就是許多明星、皇室貴族等名人的社交聚會場所，牆上掛的相片為英國威爾斯王妃戴安娜與查爾斯蒞臨飯店的歷史畫面。

可容納12位賓客的飯廳更配備設施齊全的Gaggenau 生活電器；豪華餐廳酒吧廚房以及酒吧儲藏室。

這間套房還擁有健身，以及水療設施，亦可用作聚會，家人休息的場域。同時配有黏土鑄像、銀色樹葉以及精緻的水晶吊燈。

瑰麗明亮的維多利亞風情玻璃室更彷彿皇家園林，約可容納六位賓客，並設有舒適的休閒座椅，用餐之餘，更是明亮几淨的下午茶空間。

典雅的臥室設有寬敞的大理石浴室，配備獨立深浸式浴缸、步入式淋浴間、雙梳妝盥洗盆和步入式衣櫥。

這座擁有140年歷史的建築在此次翻新中，還原了其最初的開放式陽臺，在此可飽覽熱帶花園景觀、旖旎的河畔風光及游泳池的醉人美景。

全新花園套房位於花園翼，每間套房均配有奢華落地大窗，可俯瞰湄南河的景色，並設有休息室、飯廳、備餐間、化妝間和觀景陽台

獨立沙發休憩區讓人怡然自得，這間套房糅合了殖民地風格的設計和現代時尚的氣息，展現了酒店獨特的傳統和泰國當地文化。

睡房的大理石浴室設有浴缸、淋浴閒、雙化妝台及一個展示衣櫃，充分流露出優雅氣派。

房間迎賓小品非常具有泰國風味，有盛產的熱帶水果與泰式點心，以及進房後還會有私人管家送上冰茶。

四間全新開幕的水療護理室位於花園翼，首次在曼谷推出全球知名的獨家美容療程，包括來自法國足藝大師Bastien Gonzalez的Pedi:Mani:Cure手足護理和美容品牌QMS Medicosmetics。

When it opened in 1876 on the banks of the Chao Phraya river, The Oriental, as it was originally known, was the first hotel in what was then Siam. Its relationship with royalty began in 1890 when the King of Siam visited, and the following year he hosted Crown Prince Nicholas II of Russia here. Its doors have opened to Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth, Margaret Thatcher, the Clintons and George Bush as well as celebrities such as Mick Jagger, Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan.

Mandarin Oriental Bangkok renovation of the Garden Wing and Author’s Lounge, part of the original hotel building that now pays homage to the hotel’s literary past, when it hosted legendary writers such as Noël Coward, Joseph Conrad, Somerset Maugham and John le Carré.

Marble floors and white-cane furniture upholstered in floral fabrics are accentuated by the natural light that pours into the lounge. Restored to its original design, the lounge is a firm favourite with fans of afternoon tea.

At the heart of the renovation project is a luxuriously appointed suite that few people will ever see. The six-bedroom, 6,500sq ft Grand Royal Suite now occupies the first floor of the original building and will be used for visiting royalty, heads of state and famous faces of the type who require interiors decorated with the finest Thai silk, walk-in wardrobes, a conservatory, private lift, fitness room, personal spa, dining room for 12, wraparound balcony and extra bedrooms for their close-protection squad.

However, an additional 12 elegant new Garden Suites, available to those without an entourage, have river or garden views, separate lounges and dining areas and private butler service. The hotel’s 324 rooms and 44 suites are serviced to exacting standards by more than 1,000 staff.
