位於虎之門之丘︵Toranomon Hills︶大廈前的安達仕旅館，由知名設計師季裕棠季裕棠 (Tony Chi) 及緒方慎一郎 (Shinichiro Ogata) 的設計、反映出日本文化對於美感與純粹的堅持，酒店內處處可見和紙和北海道胡桃木，以及美麗感性的藝術作品。

簡約的入門設計是季裕堂先生設計風格的完美體現，在迎賓的大廳中並沒有見到如同一般酒店的制式報到櫃檯，而是以充滿設計感、提供服務人在親切的與賓客面對面的「客廳」為主，所有的客人都可以輕鬆自在地辦理入住服務，同時享受小點與各種飲品。

藝術和設計酒店的概念在全球不退燒！Andaz Tokyo透過互動讓人明白藝術與視覺、材質、各場域是相互連扣的，更能內化為居家空間的人文氣息與美學品味。

寬敞的客房規劃靈感來自日本傳統的榻榻米和屏風空間形式，讓賓客可以依據自己的喜好需求定義不同空間的使用情境與意義。

大量的原木家具，出現在大廳及客房，甚至是浴室，浴缸以傳統日式浴盆為靈感來源，以現代科技改良，是設計上的一大亮點。

有時候，空間的奢華感並非一定要有昂貴的質材才能表現，通過空間的陳設與色調搭配，更容易傳達非一般的奢華。譬如變化有序的花格是表現東方美學的利器；而具有日式風情的盤栽，更成了空間的亮點，安達仕聰明地突出了這些特點。

貫穿東京安達仕的空間視覺意象，是由日本傳統和室拉門和屏風形式為靈感，淬煉出極具現代感的簡約格線，將所在地深厚的內涵，轉化為時尚的文化符碼，成功傳達出城市的特色。例如寫字、打電腦用的大桌面，也以不規則的原木打破了方方正正的框架；並在屋頂的西式酒吧中，設置了傳統日式茶室，這些都蘊含了古典與現代交融的設計感。

安達仕酒店為東京絕無僅有的天台氛圍，特別是在開放式天台酒吧開懷暢飲時，也能欣賞歎為觀止的美景。

用餐者也可選擇位於 52 樓的餐廳 the Sushi，餐廳反映酒店從市場直送餐桌的理念，供應只有少數座位的美味壽司，而且特別選用時令新鮮食材。

It is worth staying at the Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills for the spectacular views alone. Located in the top six floors of the city’s second tallest building, it has the capital’s highest rooftop bar,while a table at the Andaz Tavern, one floor down, will leave you catching your breath.

Tony Chi of New York and the Tokyo-based Shinichiro Ogata oversaw the hotel’s interiors.To reflect Japan’s cultural emphasis on beauty and purity of form, the designers used natural materials such as washi paper and Hokkaido walnut throughout the spaces. Traditional fittings, such as shoji paper screens, were transformed into partitions to create spatial sequences without physical barriers.

If it wasn’t for the draw of Tokyo outside guest could have sat in my comfortable window seat for hours. Even a visit to the pool on the 37th floor had an element of the sublime due to the incredible views.

On the ground floor, friendly doormen direct you down a softly lit passageway to lifts that zoom you up to the lobby .On the 51 floor next to Andaz Lounge will be the main dining venue, Andaz Tavern, with 16-foot floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the city.

Wood sculptures by UK artist Charlie Whinney will hang from the ceiling. The Andaz Tavern, which can seat 212, will have a dining area as well as a lounge and bar. where hosts with iPads take your details in the lounge area over a glass of wine, or even in your room.

Hotel guests can enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks in the lounge at certain times and the area has the atmosphere of a members’ club, so is a good place to meet up or get some work done.

164 guestrooms of Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills, there will be eight suites, located on floors 47 to 50. Standard guestrooms average 540 square feet and will offer views of the Tokyo skyline. The bathroom is a key feature of the room design, equipped with soaking tubs inspired by Japanese bath culture.

Location

Toranomon Hills, a luxury apartment and office block and Tokyo’s newest landmark, towers over the rest of the historic Toranomon district. Translating as “Tiger Gate”, Toranomon was the name of the southern gate to Edo castle, which is now the Imperial Palace.

Frequented by geishas and samurai in the 17th to 19th centuries, the area is now a quiet business district. The Toranomon Hills complex is the start of ambitious transformation plans ahead of the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.
